Co-accused acquittal

    R. v. CHAN CHI SING

    Citation
    R. v. CHAN CHI SING
    Court
    Court of Appeal
    Case number
    CACC444/1995

The Court held that the applicant's admissions to the police were sufficient to sustain the convictions; the prosecution was not obliged to name or call the victims when relying on those admissions; greater particularity of date was unnecessary and immaterial in the circumstances; and the acquittal of a co-accused does not automatically require an acquittal of the other where the evidence differs. Therefore leave to appeal against conviction was dismissed.
