On the balance of probabilities the court accepted the plaintiff's evidence that an oral agreement was made on 16 January 2013 for a HK$320,000 cash rebate, that the plaintiff purchased in reliance on that agreement, and that the defendant breached the agreement by failing to pay; judgment awarded for the plaintiff for HK$320,000 plus interest and costs.
