The husband was found to have the means and ability to provide reasonable maintenance for the child because (1) his medical evidence indicated he could return to work with only slight loss of capacity, (2) compensation monies and ability to borrow are resources to be taken into account, and (3) his conduct justified adverse inferences about undisclosed resources; accordingly a monthly maintenance order of HKD 2,500 was appropriate commencing 1 December 2008.
