The Court held that s.6(2)'s two‑month time limit for requisition is obligatory and goes to the jurisdiction of the Lands Tribunal; the respondent company's requisition was out of time and the Tribunal had no power, by virtue of the 1983 amendment, to extend time retrospectively so as to confer jurisdiction; accordingly the appeal was allowed and judgment entered for the Director of Lands.
