The notebook (P1) was admissible as a record made in furtherance of the conspiracy and, combined with independent evidence (forged seals, expert forensic evidence, admissions, address book entries and meter readings), established on the balance of probabilities that D4 and D7 were members of the conspiracy; however the evidence against D5 was materially weaker and potentially tainted by misleading certified translations and altered photostats, rendering his conviction unsafe and requiring quashing.
