- Court of First Instance

Leave to appeal was refused because the proposed appeal had no reasonable prospect of success; the Costs Order was neither wrong in principle nor plainly wrong. The court held it was justified to order costs personally against the joint liquidators because they unjustifiably and unsuccessfully opposed the Summons to implement prior orders and their conduct was poor/unreasonable; accordingly costs followed the event and were summarily assessed at HK$90,000 payable to the Plaintiffs forthwith.
