Given the mother's established allegations of abuse, the father's demonstrated lack of engagement, his unwillingness to address allegations or to take steps to improve cooperation, and incidents showing use of force and lack of regard for the Child's needs, a joint custody order was not workable and would not be in the Child's best interests. Accordingly sole custody (with care and control to the Mother) was necessary to protect the Child's welfare while preserving supervised access rights for the Father.
