Where a document is composed by cut-and-paste and a photocopy of that assembled document is produced and intended to be used as the instrument of deception, that photocopy is a false document/forgery under s.69(2) and using it to obtain money satisfies the offence of obtaining property by virtue of a forgery; accordingly the convictions were upheld.
