The Defendant's non-compliance with pre-trial directions and failure to file an Answer constituted default sufficient to bar it from adducing expert evidence and from contesting the quantum; on the unchallenged evidence (witness affidavits, expert tests and accountant's schedule) the Plaintiffs established that the Defendant supplied defective coffee makers causing recall and losses, entitling the Plaintiffs to judgment for the stated sum with interest and costs.
