On the balance of probabilities the claimant failed to prove a causal link between the alleged workplace accident and his ischemic stroke; the court accepted the joint expert's opinion that the stroke was spontaneous and likely the cause of any fall, that there was no intracranial hemorrhage or traumatic brain injury, and that thrombolytic treatment was given within the effective time window; accordingly the claim for compensation is dismissed and costs are awarded to the respondents.
