Service of a redevelopment notice under the Demolished Buildings (Redevelopment of Sites) Ordinance operates to remove the protection of the Landlord and Tenant Ordinance in respect of the property and that removal is not undone by subsequent withdrawal of the redevelopment notice; accordingly the plaintiffs were not reinstated to their former protected tenancies and cannot obtain the relief sought in this Court though they may seek compensation through the statutory Tenancy Tribunal process.
