The Court allowed the Attorney General's application, holding that DATC detention was inappropriate given the multiplicity and seriousness of multiple knife-point lift robberies and that undue weight had been given to addiction; adopting established sentencing starting points (one year for possession, eight years for each robbery as lift/armed robberies), applying totality and discounts (two years for guilty plea, one year for clear record) the appropriate substituted sentence is five years' imprisonment to run concurrently.
