On a broad-brush assessment balancing the wife's reasonable interim needs against the husband's disclosed ability to pay, and given unresolved factual disputes unsuitable for resolution on affidavit evidence, the court adjusted the husband's expenses and concluded he could afford about HK$15,442 per month; for fairness and to permit later adjustment at final hearing the court ordered maintenance pending suit of HK$15,000 per month.
