- Case number
- CAAR5/2022
The sentencing judge erred in principle by ordering all sentences to run concurrently such that the money laundering offences and the most serious fraud did not add to overall punishment; the Court recalibrated starting points for the fraud charges (Charges 1-12) and for money laundering (Charges 14-15), structured partly consecutive and partly concurrent terms to reflect added culpability, allowed a limited discount for delay and substituted the original sentence with a longer determinate sentence of 3 years and 9 months’ imprisonment.
