The court granted a temporary stay of all eight proceedings pending determination of the Probate Appeal because, on balance of convenience and in the interests of sensible case management, continuation of the multi‑forum, treasury‑system intensive litigation would likely produce waste of costs, damage to the Chinachem group and unnecessary drain on judicial resources if the Probate Appeal resolves entitlement to the estate in favour of Mrs Wang; the administrators' objections and alleged prejudice did not outweigh those considerations.
