The Court held that driving a vehicle on a road with excessive weight is an offence within the ambit of s.69(1)(a) as an offence in connection with driving, and therefore the Magistrate had power to order disqualification; Yip kay governs and supports this interpretation, so the disqualification was lawful and the appeal is dismissed.
