The application for leave to appeal was dismissed because the applicant failed to show a miscarriage of justice: replacement counsel performed competently, the judge correctly admitted the verbal admission and did not refer inadmissible post-record evidence to the jury, jury directions (including Turnbull and on inducement) were correct, and the discharge of a juror under s.25(1) Jury Ordinance was lawful and not shown to have prejudiced the verdicts.
