The court refused leave to appeal because none of the plaintiff's grounds disclosed a reasonable prospect of success: the court legitimately preferred the defendants' expert evidence, the defendants had identified a credible defence warranting a stay in favour of the Shanghai proceedings, and the plaintiff did not demonstrate that the defendants had submitted to Hong Kong jurisdiction.
