The convictions were quashed and sentences set aside because the Deputy Judge's Reasons for Verdict were inadequate to show he identified the conspiracies proved, which witnesses were accomplices, and whether corroboration was independent, rendering the convictions unsafe; however CHAN's aggregated sentence of 4.5 years was not disturbed as it was not so high as to warrant interference.
