The appeal is allowed because PW1's evidence contained material inconsistencies and an implausible delay in reporting that a dashcam was taken at the scene; on the whole evidence the prosecution failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the appellant committed theft or obstructed justice, therefore convictions on counts (2) and (5) must be quashed.
