The court exercised its discretion under s.27(2) to admit both overseas QCs because the action was found to be of unusual complexity, reasonable enquiries of appropriate local Queen's Counsel (seven silks) showed none were available on the fixed trial dates, and the Bar had indicated it would consent if no suitable local counsel was available; accordingly admission was granted for the purposes of the scheduled trial.
