The judge held that despite lacking formal forensic pathology qualifications, Dr Pang's medical training, substantial A&E and neurosurgical clinical exposure, experience distinguishing accidental from non-accidental injuries, duties in determining causes of death and prior accepted court testimony together constituted sufficient study and experience to render his opinions on the disputed matters admissible; therefore Dr Pang was qualified to testify on those matters.
