The combination of contemporaneous observations, matching registration details in the exhibits, the nature, quantity and packing of the goods, functional radio transceivers linking vehicles and sampans, the appellants' admissions at arrest and the absence of any explanation justified the only reasonable inference that each appellant knew they were participating in a smuggling enterprise to export goods without a manifest; therefore the convictions were properly upheld.
