The Court upheld the 32 month sentence because the offence involved a substantial face value of counterfeit notes (RMB 60,900), the appellant occupied a dominant role in an organized attempt to cash forged notes in Hong Kong, the starting points adopted by the judge were appropriate and in fact lenient in light of authority, and the guilty plea reductions were correctly applied.
