The tribunal upheld that goodwill must be valued as worth to the owner using trading accounts and the balance sheet (including depreciation as accounted for), and that loss on forced sale of assets is a separate compensation head assessed on owner-worth at sale; therefore revaluation of assets for the purpose of calculating interest on capital employed or additional depreciation deductions from goodwill was not required and the original decision stands.
