The defence failed to establish apparent bias on an objective test: the examples of judicial intervention were few in context, constituted legitimate case‑management and clarification, and did not demonstrate a real possibility that the judge would not decide impartially; accordingly the recusal application is dismissed and the judge will continue to preside.
