HKSAR v. CHAN KAI MING AND ANOTHER
- Citation
- [2021] HKCA 652
- Court
- Court of Appeal
- Case number
- CACC262/2019
The court held the judge's directions and admission of evidence were proper and not reasonably arguable grounds for leave except that the judge's comments characterising the absence of fingerprint evidence as 'neither here nor there' raised a reasonably arguable point. Consequently leave to appeal convictions was granted limited to that issue; other grounds were refused and the 1st applicant's leave to appeal sentence was dismissed. An Appeal Aid Certificate was granted to the applicants to pursue the granted appeal.
