The appellate court, on re‑hearing all evidence, found the environment and conduct (manager arranging selection, appellants lining up and self‑introducing, providing skilled pouring/serving, feeding and intimate contact) proved beyond reasonable doubt that appellants provided hostess services in breach of their stay conditions; absence of observed payment did not negate the offence; therefore convictions and sentences were upheld.
