Where a defendant changed plea late, saved little time and showed little remorse, the sentencing judge may properly reduce the discount for a guilty plea and the appellate court will not interfere with that exercise of discretion absent demonstrable error.

The Court upheld the trial judge's sentencing exercise: the late plea and the self‑serving nature of the applicant's assistance did not justify a larger discount, and therefore the sentence of 32 months concurrent imprisonment was appropriate; the application for leave to appeal against sentence was dismissed.
