The appellate court upheld the Magistrate's findings that the recorded statement was voluntary and admissible, there was no oppression, Lam's evidence was credible and corroborated by the appellant's recorded statement, the prosecution proved the appellant knew the bags belonged to Miss Kwan and retained them dishonestly, and the ICAC arrest was lawful under the ICAC Ordinance; accordingly the conviction was safe and the appeal was dismissed.
