The written lease was genuine and expired on 31 Dec 2017; respondent's continued occupation thereafter amounted to a tenancy at will (not an enforceable rent-free licence supported by consideration); there was no credible evidence of a binding waiver of rent; the Lands Tribunal had jurisdiction to order return of vacant possession and award sums to compensate the applicant; therefore respondent must deliver vacant possession and pay arrears, fees and interest as ordered.
