The District Court does have jurisdiction to hear applications under the IO insofar as that jurisdiction is subject to the monetary and value limits in section 37(2) of the DCO; however, the present claims and the value of the estate exceed those limits and/or involve matters properly dealt with in the ongoing probate proceedings, and accordingly the whole of the proceedings must be transferred to the Court of First Instance pursuant to the DCO.
