The convictions were upheld because the appellant accepted money while acting in his capacity as the employer's quantity surveyor and his preparation and processing of the subcontractor's claims were acts in relation to his principal's affairs; 'processing' is broad, the agent's acts were aimed at the principal, and the asserted moonlighting reimbursement did not negate the state of mind required under s.9(1)(a).
