Because the trial judge failed to indicate in his Reasons for Verdict that he appreciated the special risks of relying exclusively on identification evidence and did not comply with s 80 requirements as to timing and formalities of Reasons, the convictions on charges 7 and 8 were unsafe and were quashed; sentences consequent on those matters were set aside and appropriate substituted sentences imposed on remaining convictions.
