The Court held that some mitigation should have been afforded for the applicant's conduct and establishment of a respectable life while at large, but that his prior convictions and the fact of absconding limited the credit available; accordingly the total sentence was excessive and was reduced from five years eight months to five years by restructuring individual terms and ordering appropriate concurrency and consecutiveness.
