Defendant failed to produce compelling evidence of any post-acquisition agreement or conduct sufficient to alter the original common intention of equal beneficial ownership; documentary admissions and contemporaneous records supported plaintiffs' case that contributions and rents were applied as pleaded; accordingly the four registered owners hold equal one-quarter beneficial interests, defendant must account for rental income since February 1998, his counterclaim for enlarged beneficial share is dismissed and sale under the Partition Ordinance is ordered.
