The Court held that substituted service delivered to the defendant's Hong Kong solicitors was valid because the service occurred in Hong Kong, did not contravene Mainland law or the Arrangement, Order 11 r5A does not exclude substituted service effected outside the Mainland, the plaintiff had made requisite attempts and it was impracticable to effect personal service in Beijing, and the judge properly exercised discretion under Order 2 r1 to cure any irregularity; appeal dismissed.
