Defendants failed to demonstrate a strong likelihood of success on appeal. The Recorder properly found defendants' case lacked credible evidential support, identified material inconsistencies in defendants' evidence, and correctly concluded there were no triable issues on nominee status, collateral contract or estoppel. Accordingly no stay was justified and the summons was dismissed.
