The court found beyond reasonable doubt that the respondent knew the terms of the maintenance order and, after receipt of MPF funds, deliberately spent the funds on travel and debt repayment rather than complying with the order and made no effective attempt to purge the contempt before the hearing; accordingly the respondent’s conduct constituted civil contempt of court.
