Joint landlords may only recover possession under Section 53(2)(b) if they jointly fulfil the statutory occupational requirement; where the premises are required for occupation only by the son of one joint owner the landlords cannot succeed, following McIntyre and Wetherall and applying the statutory language accordingly.
