Court found the plaintiff’s complaints were inconsistent with contemporaneous medical records and expert objective findings, accepted the more conservative orthopaedic opinion that prolonged sick leave and significant residual disability were not justified, fixed sick leave loss at three months, awarded HK$100,000 for pain and suffering plus specified special damages and MPF loss but set off the full Employees' Compensation payment, resulting in dismissal of plaintiff's common law claim and an order for costs in favour of defendant.
