The court granted the originating summons insofar as it declared the funds paid to the defendant were held on trust for the plaintiff and ordered Standard Chartered Bank to release and return the funds with interest from 3 May 2018 because the plaintiff was traced as the victim of fraud, service and notice to the bank were proper, and the bank clearly stated it would abide by any court order even though not formally joined.
