Because the defendants failed to substantiate their defenses and did not adduce evidence at trial, the claimants established entitlement to unpaid employment benefits and repayment of loans; Full Flush was liable to pay Leung’s employment entitlements and repay the sums advanced, and Full Flush and Cheung were jointly and severally liable for the on‑lent loans and certain loan liabilities to Elsa; interest and costs were awarded accordingly.
