- Court
- Court of Appeal
- Case number
- CACC264/2010
The court held that the admissions were properly found to be voluntary on the judge's credibility findings, there was no procedural request below to exclude the admissions on discretionary fairness grounds so no duty to give extended reasons, and the jury directions were legally sufficient to require disregard of any admissions if the jury concluded they might have been obtained by impropriety; accordingly leave to appeal was granted but the appeal was dismissed and the conviction and sentence upheld.
