The court ordered limited disclosure: the prosecution must obtain from the police officers, and provide in writing to each defendant in the voir dire, whether those officers gave evidence relating to admissibility of confessions in the High Court or District Court in the past five years, identifying such cases and whether the confessions were admitted or rejected, subject to the officers' memories; the prosecution is not required to undertake independent searches of court records or otherwise prepare the defence case, but must disclose existing records of proven police misconduct.
