The Court held that while the 2½ year starting point and an overall reduction to 16 months (about 47%) for guilty plea plus assistance were appropriate, the judge failed to give adequate additional credit for the applicant's voluntary self-report and immediate surrender of stolen proceeds; an extra four months reduction was warranted, so the sentence was reduced from 16 to 12 months.
