The Court held the circumstantial evidence (warm packet, pungent odour linked to hydrochloric acid, wet bags and mop with heroin traces, observed fumes) was sufficient for a properly instructed jury to find manufacture occurred that night; inconsistencies in police evidence did not make the convictions unsafe; therefore the appeals against conviction and the applications against sentence were refused.
