Acts of the Acting Registrar and registry clerks complained of were done in performance of judicial functions and are protected by absolute judicial immunity under Article 85 Basic Law; on the pleadings the misfeasance claim disclosed no reasonable cause of action and, alternatively, the proceedings were frivolous, vexatious and an abuse of process; accordingly both statements of claim were struck out and the actions dismissed with indemnity costs ordered nisisly to be summarily assessed.
