Because the appellant was not provided with the charge sheet and brief facts before she was arraigned and asked to plead, her plea was not informed under Article 11(2) of the Hong Kong Bill of Rights; the defective plea could not validly displace the presumption of innocence and the appeal must be allowed with permission to reverse the plea and remit for plea to be retaken.
