The judge erred in failing to direct the jury on the proper use of evidence of uncharged acts once it was established that the evidence disclosed two distinct conspiracies, but that error was not material because the jury were bound to be sure of the key witness's evidence and there was abundant independent objective evidence supporting the importation conspiracy; accordingly the conviction was safe and the appeal dismissed.
